I recently received this message from a friend and thought it was something of value to share:
A rich man looked through his window and saw a poor man picking through the garbage for something to eat. He said to himself, thank God I am not poor. The poor man looked ahead and saw an ambulance carrying a patient. He said to himself, thank God I am not sick. A sick person in a hospital saw a gurney taking a dead body to the mortuary. He said thank God, I am not dead.
What is LIFE? To understand life better, we only need to go to 3 locations: the hospital, a prison and a cemetery. At the hospital we will understand that health is truly wealth. In the prison we will appreciate how important freedom is. At the cemetery, we will realize that our lives are temporary and fragile and that the ground we walk on today will be our roof tomorrow. We all come with nothing and go with nothing so be humble, be kind and be grateful.
